My name is Alana Trachenko, and I'm a storyteller.
My practice is grounded in more than a decade of work across marketing, communications, content and brand storytelling. Now? Nothing is off limits. As a multidisciplinary creative, my work includes fiction, essay, poetry, photography, video, visual art (drawing, painting + rendering), design, strategy, ideation, directing, and project + business development.
My goal is to create work that reflects and moves. My projects are multilayered, going beyond images or branding alone. There is no one-size-fits-all. Some projects are a line of poetry. Others are a machine with many moving parts.

As an artist, my ethos is that all art is disruptive. It all represents a new element, which may cause friction, or resistance. Everything we submit to the world must be its own act of resistance, always on some level protecting the vulnerable and the sacred. My work is concerned with people, embodiment, expression, connection, cultural sensitivity, and class unity.
Everything begins with the seed of an idea. A flash of insight that usually lands first in my notes app, later sprawling into visuals, manuscripts, storyboards, designs, sketches, and more often than not, some mix of several. Well-planted seeds carry themselves through the work, even as it turns and changes shape.
